Lyrebird by Cecelia Ahern Book Signing & #Giveaway

Last week I went to a book signing for Lyrebird by Cecelia Ahern.
Cecelia Ahern wrote one of my favorite books, Where Rainbows End and I was excited to get my hands on Lyrebird and meet Cecelia
for the second time. The first time I met Cecelia a few years back I got my copy of Where Rainbows End signed but this time I of course had to get Lyrebird signed.

{ My review of Where Rainbows End }

The signing was hosted by Harper Collins Ireland and took place in Easons where most of the book signings I would attend are held.

{Me and my sister waiting in line}

We didn't have long to wait in line, which I was glad as I had just came from work as the signing was an afternoon signing. But I was totally excited to meet Cecelia, so was my sister. When we meet Cecelia we totally fan girled I think we might have scared her a little. My sister went first, {even though I was before her in the line how did that happen } and then I got my chance. I got to share my love of her book Where Rainbows End and tell her I read it every year. I also got to tell her I was really excited to read Lyrebird {More about Lyrebird below}

Cecelia was so lovely, she is just a down to earth person and she looked beautiful in her dress, I actually want it for myself.

{Cecelia Ahern and me }

 { My sister, Cecelia Ahern & Me}

After the signing me and my sister where asked by a reporter for a few video quotes on our thoughts on the signing and we did it with know choice as the reporter just jumped on us LOL we did however end up being the only ones talking about our love of Cecelia in the video. You can check it out here Here

Over all it was lovely to meet Cecelia and to pick up a copy of Lyrebird and I can't wait to read it. My sister Kerry Ann has also done a post about the signing over on her blog, which you can check out Here

Here is a little more about Lyrebird:

Life is in two parts: who you were before you met her, and who you are after.

A documentary crew discover a mysterious young women living alone in the mountains of West Cork. Strikingly beautiful she has an extraordinary talent for mimicry, like the famous Australian Lyrebird. The crew, fascinated, make her the subject of her story, and bestow the nickname upon her.

When they leave, they take Lyrebird with them back to the city. But as she leaves behind her peaceful life to learn about a new world, is she also leaving behind a part of herself? For her new friend Solomon the answer isn’t clear. When you find a rare and precious thing, should you share it – or protect it…
